Shannon Noll Eyes Silver Screen
April 17, 2008
Former Australian Idol contestant and runner-up Shannon Noll has revealed that he’s got his mind set on becoming the next big thing in Hollywood.
The In Pieces singer already has an acting agent in the U.S., but says he still needs some more practice before he’ll make a proper attempt at landing a television show or movie in Tinsel Town.
“I am pretty close to crying on cue but haven’t managed it just yet,” Shannon told Qconfidential yesterday. “And learning lines is another thing I need to look at. I’ve always wondered how actors do that.”
Noll has given himself a month to brush up on his acting techniques, before he flies out to L.A. to meet with Pal Santana, his APA agent.
“It would be nice to get a good character role in a TV show or something like that. But it’s all in the fairly early stages at the moment,” Noll said. “I’ll just go over and see what happens.”
After his meet-and-greet in the States, Noll will return home for his 17-stop tour, which begins in Brisbane in July.
