Miranda Kerr Signs With David Jones

Catwalk princess Miranda Kerr has reportedly signed a secret six-figure sum with David Jones, becoming the latest ambassador for the department store chain.

The 23-year-old Victoria Secret Angel is believed to have impressed David Jones executives with her youth, beauty and experience in the fashion industry.

David Jones’ long-time ambassador, supermodel Megan Gale, made her exit from the company and fashion world in February to focus on her movie career, leaving a vacancy in the company that had already been filled by Kerr.

Miranda was allegedly signed by DJ in December last year, but the executives are desperate to keep the news of their generational change quiet, and want to keep the spotlight on the departing Gale for as long as possible. Â

By signing the younger Kerr, David Jones hope to compete with rival Myer, who have former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins at the helm.

Kerr’s new deal will see her appear on the runway for the fashion retailer, as well as an appearance at Australian Fashion Week later this month.
