Kylie Snubs British Fans
May 13, 2008
Pop star Kylie Minogue has been accused of snubbing British rock band The Kooks, after they were refused entry to one of the singer’s tour after-parties.
The band, who are said to be big fans of the Aussie pop sensation, were in Paris shooting a promo for their upcoming single Do You Wanna. Minogue was already in the French capital as part of her X2008 tour committments.
Luke Pritchard, the band’s frontman, explained that he and his bandmates had attempted to get an invite to Kylie’s exclusive after-party, but were snubbed and left disappointed.
“We heard she was having a party so asked if we could come,” Pritchard said. “We were gutted [when refused]. I like [Kylie] and her songs.”
However, their snubbing hasn’t lessened their respect for the Aussie songstress, and the band will try to party with Minogue again in the future.
“I won’t give up,” Pritchard added. “We’ll try again next time we’re in the same city.”
