Kate Richie’s Final Scene

Kate Richie (Sally Fletcher) has finished filming her final scene on Home And Away, after being on the show for 20 years.
“On the one hand you feel this incredible sadness, on the other, it feels like the beginning of the next part of my life.
“And yet I can’t deny that saying goodbye to Sally Fletcher is the hardest thing I have ever done.”
Her final episode wont air until April, so viewers have a while to wait.
Next year Kate joins FM station Nova 96.9’s breakfast crew with Merrick and Rosso.
20 years eh? You have to applaud that much stick-to-it-ness in an “entertainer” whether Hollywood or Oz or anywhere.
So… unless she started as a kid, that would make her close to, if not, 40! And she looks quite delectable.

Yes, she started on the show as a kid. She is actually 29.
As to Lucy, I did hear of her a while ago this year, can’t think what it was now, but I’ll see if I can find anything recent on her.

I absolutely love kate. I am 13 years old and look up to her thinking i wish i was exactly like her. I am oping to be an actor when i finish High school. (if i finish!) and when i do become an actor hopefully on home and away i would love to be like her. She is a great role model and i always have her in my mind.

Kate, you have grown into a beautiful woman, one chapter of your life is finishing, while another chapter is about to begin. I wish you well, you are an inspiration to everyone. You should be proud of yourself!
