Greer FHM Award Winner

December 3, 2007

Germaine Greer All I can say is what were they smoking?

FHM magazine’s 2007 Bloke Award has gone to Germaine Greer. What makes it worse is that they are supposedly not joking, saying praising Greer’s ability to speak the truth without fear or favour.

Is that what it is, my memory must be a little off. Here I was under the illusion that she was a long ago irrelevance who has resorted to cheap and vulgar publicity stunts to satisfy her salacious need for publicity. Isn’t this the same women who said in 1999 and other times since that she would never return to Australia until there has been official reconciliation and apology to the Aboriginal people? Maybe I am slightly off, I am sure someone as laterally thinking as Ms Greer would have couched her statement in ways that abrogates the hypocrisies of her continual funded trips back to her neanderthal home country.

Let’s not forget her comments about Steve Irwin’s death. At the very least they were completely insensitive ot his famly and unwarranted. It is strange that she felt the need after his death to criticise. But in a way it was good, as it opened even the dimmest eyes to the complete grasping ego of the woman who places her neolithic opinions above all ease.

I digress, now back to her award. Now there is sexy, and I guess some people can find power or the illusion of it sexy, then there is down right mean, bitter and ugly. Not even in her wildest dreams would Greer ever qualify for the first two, and even the last is being relatively tame.

Australia is full of some of the most attractive women in the World who actually still live in this country, apart from the repulsive factor of her personality, Greer does not even reside here.

Hold on there Ross. Now, the name of these awards is quite interesting. I was under the impression that a ‘bloke’ in Oz and British slang meant a guy. In this case, I totally agree since this sea hag looks far more like a guy than the runner up for the Bloke of the Year. :D

Just another piece of logic from the mouth (well let’s be honest, fingers) of Brentus. ;)

Got something to say?
