Delta Goodrem Engaged

Delta Goodrem and her singer partner, Brian McFadden, confirmed their engagement today, after days of rumours surrounding their relationship.

Goodrem’s management offered a brief statement today, after a local newspaper leaked a story claiming to have inside information on the couple’s engagement. The paper reported that Delta had turned down Brian’s proposal, but the pair felt the need to set the record straight for their fans.

“Contrary to false reports, the couple were hoping to keep the news private however they feel it is important to now confirm their exciting news,” the statement read.

McFadden is believed to have proposed to Delta last weekend, after a long plane trip from Dublin to Sydney.

There has been no wedding date set as yet, but when the couple do tie the knot, Goodrem will become step-mother to McFadden’s two daughters from his previous marriage to Atomic Kitten singer, Kerry Katona.
