Corey Worthington’s $200K Pay Packet From BB

May 14, 2008

Corey Worthington’s $200K Pay Packet From BBThe teenager famous for his parent-free, raving parties, Corey Worthington, will reportedly rake in $200,000 this year in revenue from his appearance on Network Ten’s reality show, Big Brother.

The 17-year-old party boy entered the house last week as an intruder, under the guidance of evicted grandmother, Terri, and will leave this week after a 10-day stint.

Worthington’s mother revealed on day-time radio last month that her son would be receiving $10,000 per episode of Big Brother, as part of his contract with the hit show; however, his agent Max Markson was more coy about the final figures.

Markson told the Courier Mail that Worthington’s net worth fell “well short” of the initial claim of $200,000, but admitted that the party boy was doing quite well for himself, and was getting “a lot more than the proverbial 15 minutes” out of his fame.

“I will say he has done very, very well for himself over the past few months and I am very proud of him,” Markson said.

“This is only the beginning for him.”

As well as his $200,000 intruder appearance on Big Brother, Worthington has also starred in a number of overseas commercials, and has just released a single - a cover of the Beastie Boys’ 1986 hit (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!).

His debut single is now at the top of the mobile ringtone charts, and Markson says this is just the beginning for young Worthington. A movie deal is reportedly in the works, with the 17-year-old set to chase a career on the silver screen after he leaves the Big Brother house.

“And there are other plans ahead for him,” Markson added.
