Branson Says, “Imbruglia is Not With My Son”

Sir Richard Branson put an end to the rumours that son, Sam, was dating newly single Aussie Natalie Imbruglia, telling Confidential that the pair were “just friends.”

The Virgin tycoon announced that his son already had a girlfriend, so there was no chance for an Imbruglia/Branson romance, despite the fact that the billionaire would welcome such a pairing with open arms.

According to Branson, Nat is an old friend of the family, and someone which the British Sir holds in the highest regard.

“Sam was very flattered to have his name attached to hers but he actually already has a girlfriend,” Branson said while in Sydney.

“He’s known Natalie since he was about 15, she’s a close friend of the family, but even if there was a temptation there he’s safe in the Arctic for the next while anyway.

“I saw Natalie last week and she was certainly smiling about the whole situation.”

Rumours of the new couple surfaced last month when British tabloids claimed they had seen Sam and Natalie “canoodling” at a London party for the Branson heir, celebrating the launch of the 23-year-old’s Arctic expedition.
