Big Brother’s Rima Heading Home

Pint-sized Housemate Rima is preparing to fly home to Victoria after breaking her leg during Big Brother’s Friday Night Live games last Friday.

In a videotaped message to her fellow Housemates, which aired over the weekend, Rima said she “hoped to return to the house” after her accident, and that she was “in good spirits” despite the pain.

However, a return to the Big Brother House is now doubtful for Rima, who is preparing herself to go home, a spokesperson for the show revealed yesterday.

“It’s in the lap of the gods,” the Big Brother spokesperson said. “We’d like to see her back, she’s in good spirits, but she’s now preparing to go home.”

When it looked clear that surgery would be needed to mend her broken leg, Rima’s husband was flown to her beside at a Gold Coast hospital. Her left leg was operated on Sunday evening.

Rima, who has been popular with the show’s fans since entering the House just over a week ago, was hoping to re-enter the house on crutches, but has decided instead to recuperate at home. Â

At this stage, producers of the hit reality show have confirmed that they have no “current plans” for Rima to return to the show, and have left that decision up to the belly dancer.
