Big Brother’s Rima Breaks Leg in House

Big Brother’s pint-sized housemate, Rima, has been evacuated from the Big Brother house and taken to hospital, after breaking her leg competing in the infamous Friday Night Live games.

The 1mtr-tall belly dancer landed awkwardly on Friday night and broke her leg, after falling from a tilting platform that Big Brother says was safety tested “at least three times.”

From her hospital bed, Rima has released a brief statement, saying that while she may have broken her leg in the house, her “spirit [is] still intact.”

Rima added: “I just want you [all] to know that the hospital food is much better than the food in the Big Brother house.”

Since Rima’s unfortunate accident, Network Ten has been forced to defend the safety of its Friday Night Games, and also released a statement on the incident and the efforts of their quality control officers.

“All games on Friday Night Live are tested three times or more and approved by a Work Place Health and Safety Officer,” the statement said.

“The officer is involved in the creation and execution of the games which are modified to various degrees depending on the fitness and capabilities of each housemate.”

Network Ten added that Rima had simply landed awkwardly on a “well-padded surface.”

Rima isn’t the first housemate to be injured in the Big Brother house, and taken outside for hospital treatment. Back in 2001, during the very first series of the hit reality show, cosmetics queen Jemma Gawned was evacuated with a suspected broken wrist, after an accident in the backyard of the house.
